The Vice President of the Lebanese Government Mr. Issam Fares received the famous Scientist Sir Michael Attieh who is one of the respected Lebanese in the United States. During this meeting scientifical, academical and general subjects related to Lebanon and the region were discussed.

After the meeting a lunch was offered in his honor. Were also present the former two ministers Ghassan Tueni and Elie Salem ,the president of the American University of Beirut John Waterburry and members of the boards of trustees as well as friends.

This was an occasion for Fares to praise the exceptional academic rank attained by Attieh. This standing is a sample of the Lebanese success that attests of its active and creative presence in more than one sector and field in all the countries where Lebanese are settled. Mr. Attieh thanked the Vice President and expressed his pride of being Lebanese.
