The vice-president of the Lebanese government, Mr Issam Fares received the Prince of Qatar Al Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa al Thani who was accompanied by the vice-president of the Qatari government, the minister of foreign affairs Sheikh Hamad Ben Jasem Ben Jabber al Thani.

The discussion was focused on the situation in the region, on the necessity to reinforce cooperation between Arabs and on the relations between both countries.

After the meeting,Mr. Fares and his wife Hala gave a lunch in honor of the Prince and his wife Sheikha Mawza. Were also invited, the president of the republic, Mr. Emile Lahoud and his wife Andrée, the vice-president of the Qatari government, the minister of Foreign Affairs and the Lebanese ministry of Interior Elias El Murr.
