Meeting H.E. the US ambassador Mr. Jeffrey Feltman
22 Dec 2004
The Vice President of the lebanese government Mr Issam Fares received the ambassador of the United States Jeffrey Feltman with whom he discussed of the latest developments on the Lebanese and Middle East scenes and of the future especially in the light of the previsions of launching the peace process with the second term of the American president Bush. Mr Fares insisted on the importance of speeding up the process for it has a big impact on the stability and the vanishing of one of the main reason of violence in the region.

Mr Fares considers that excluding a solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Israeli-Arab conflict will maintain the elements of violence in a turmoil.
This will always shake the international peace and security.

After the meeting Mr Fares invited the ambassador Feltman for lunch.
