"From Resistance to Reconciliation: Reflections on the South African Experience"

Ambassador Mohammed Dangor was a member of the African National Congress Executive (Gaunteng Province) from 1994 - 2002 and the South African Civic Association Executive (SANCO). From 2002 to 2005 he was Head of Mission to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) serving as Consul General. Since 2005, he has served as South Africa's ambassador to Lebanon and Syria. He was Vice-President for the World Conference on Religion & Peace and a recipient of Human Rights awards. He was former National Manager Development in the banking sector
