"Renewable Energy Policies: What Can the Middle East Learn from the European Experience?"

Short Bio:
Stefan Schurig has devoted most of his working life to energy and climate change issues. He has been working in civil society organizations for twenty years. In the early nineties he became a board member of Germany’s largest environmental youth organization, and in 1998 he became press officer for Greenpeace in Germany. From 2002 to 2007, he headed the Climate and Energy unit at Greenpeace and became a member of the REALISE Forum. Since 2007, Stefan has been working as Director Climate Energy for the World Future Council (WFC).
