Short Bios:

Huwaida Arraf is a Palestinian activist and lawyer, who is the Chairperson of the Free Gaza Movement, and has led 4 successful boat voyages into Gaza, including the first boat to arrive at Gaza's port in over 40 years. She was a co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement and directed the first human rights law clinic program in the Arab World at Al-Quds University Law School.



Adam Shapiro is a human rights activist and documentary filmmaker. His recent film series, "Chronicles of a Refugee" looks at the global Palestinian refugee experience of the last 61 years. Prior to that, he made films in Iraq, Darfur, Afghanistan and Lebanon. Adam was on board the Spirit of Humanity ship headed for Gaza and was kidnapped by Israeli forces in early July.
