The American Druze Association (Houston branch) will honor Mr. Nijad Issam Fares and his spouse, Zeina, at a dinner banquet, on Saturday March 17, 2010, at Marriott Hotel in Houston, United States of America.

The speaker at the ceremony will be the ex-American ambassador, Edward GERGIAN. There will also be an artistic program whose profits will be earmarked to assist distinguished students to continue their higher studies. It is noteworthy that the American Druze Association was founded in 1940 and is concerned with maintaining the Druze heritage.

It also carries out charity activities, among which, most importantly, assisting the victims of the cyclone Katrina in 2006 and those of California fires in 2007, providing aid to Saint Jude Hospital for Children and, recently, assisting the victims of seism-stricken Haiti.
