Political sources accompanying the efforts deployed to form the government indicated that various complications are emerging. On one hand, most of the political powers and personalities that backed Mikati’s nomination are seeking ministerial posts and on the other hands, there is serious competition between the political powers on fundamental post. They ruled out any change in the sectarian representation in the major ministries and hinted to a conflict regarding the ministries of interior, justice and defense between the President of the Republic and General Michel Aoun. Berri will have the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance will go Prime Minister Mikato who will appoint Minister Mohammad AL Safadi.
