Panelists:

Leila Hilal is co-director of the New America Foundation Middle East Task Force. She has consulted and published widely on conflict mediation policies in the Middle East for Chatham House, International Development Research Center, and International Center for Transitional Justice, among others. Hilal obtained her J.D. from New York State University at Buffalo Law School, and LL.M. from Harvard Law School.

Michael Wahid Hanna is a fellow at The Century Foundation, a non-partisan think tank. He focuses on issues of international security, human rights, post-conflict justice and U.S. foreign policy in the broader Middle East. Hanna was a senior fellow at the International Human Rights Law Institute, where he conducted research on post-con¬flict justice, victims’ rights under international law, and the Iraqi High Criminal Court.

Rami Khouri is the Director of the Issam Fares Institute. He is an internationally syn¬dicated political columnist and book author, and a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. He also served on the international advisory board of the International Com¬mittee of the Red Cross.
