Invitation to the screening of the documentary 'Someone Like Me'

Issam Fares Institute, American University of Beirut, Cordially invite you to the screening of
“Someone Like Me”
With the presence of the two main characters in the documentary
Omar and Ala’a

The screening will be followed by an open debate.

This 24-minute documentary, tells the story of Alaa, a young Lebanese man exploring Burj Al
Barajneh Camp with Omar, his Palestinian friend living in the camp. The film sheds light on the
life of Palestinian youth in Lebanon and their aspirations and challenges.

The documentary is part of Dignity for All, a campaign launched by UNRWA with the financial
support of European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO),
which aims to improve the mutual perceptions between the Lebanese and Palestine

Refugees Communities, by mainly raising awareness and highlighting the positive aspects that
everybody should build on
