Electric power rationing & diesel generators in Beirut: Cancer in the air?

In this study, airborne carcinogen levels where people live and work were
measured and operation of nearby diesel generators monitored to determine
whether the latter contribute significantly to the quantity of carcinogens
inhaled daily by residents of Beirut, a city whose average particle pollutant
levels exceed WHO guidelines by nearly 100%.
