The Syriac League to Fares: ‘Honoring Issam Fares is a decoration for Lebanon’

The President of the Syriac League Mr. Habib Ephram affirmed that honoring former Deputy Prime Minister Issam Fares with two former US Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush by an independent, non-governmental institution represented in the five continents is a new decoration, not for a man who proved that he is giving Lebanon with no return and that he is a man of consensus by excellence, but mainly a decoration for a nation, which the spread of its expatriates might be the last thing to have.


Ephram went on saying, ‘In light of the absence of horizon and the decline of dialogue, why personalities of this caliber do not play an effective, positive, and direct role in devising solutions to our problems, and why Lebanon does not benefit from the enormous potential of those who have transparently succeeded in the management of large enterprises?’.
